Our Bison Boys U14 team performed brilliantly at the EHA U14 National Championships at Gloucestershire University on Saturday. Playing against the best U14 teams in the country, this was a whole new experience for our young team, many who had only just started playing over the past few months.

They performed really well in the group stages, winning 2 and drawing one, which meant they ended up in the semi finals against the eventual winners, West London Eagles. Facing a very strong Eagles team, the Bisons were not able to raise their performance , losing 18-10. This meant that they faced Stockport in the 3/4 place playoffs, and at the end of a very long day, they produced one of their best performances of the day to come out winners, 17-14, to finish 3rd place in the country!

This was a great achievement for the boys, and was the culmination of a lot of hard work by them and by all the coaches involved. We were without 4 of our best players, and we had other younger players who could have played, under different circumstances. Some of the lads came though our Autumn and Winter Academies and have progressed really well over the past few months and some have also gone onto trials for the EHA Midlands Regional Academy. We have some talented players and great coaches, so we are looking forward to seeing what they can do next season! Allez les Bisons!
